Reduce heat to achieve a low boil and cook for 35-45 minutes, stirring frequently. Cook for less time for more distinctive peas and more time for a pureed texture. For a creamier soup, add ¼ cup of cream when the soup is finished cooking and stir well with a wire whisk. <br /><br /><br />Alternate Recipe:<br />Slow Cooker Indian Split Pea, Cauliflower and Kale Soup<br /><br />16 oz Bac'n Flavored Split Pea Soup Starter (about 2 cups)<br />2 carrots, diced<br />1 lb cauliflower, chopped<br />1 cup kale, chopped<br />1-2 Tbsp curry powder<br />6 cups boiling water<br /><br />In the bowl of a slow cooker, combine soup starter, carrots, cauliflower, kale, curry powder and boiling water.
