We want our ultimate success to be measured in terms of true significance—an ever-increasing ability to give back and help meet the needs of people in remarkable and redeeming ways.
One of the ways we carry out our vision is through our annual Firemen’s Golf Classic. Each year, sponsorships, player fees and general donations are collected to benefit eight fire departments in the communities surrounding Dutch Valley Food Distributors. The money is divided and donated equally among each fire department to use towards new equipment and training.
We are also a proud partner of the Horizon Initiative, which helps to provide a solid education and basic necessities to orphans in Africa. All Dutch Valley Food Distributors employees have the opportunity to take part in the program, which is set up to split the cost of the sponsorships between the employees and Dutch Valley Food Distributors themselves. This program empowers our employees to take pride in the company vision as well as helping to change the lives of deserving people worldwide.
A new initiative for this year is our “Give Back” campaign. Every employee at Dutch Valley Food Distributors can submit a request for a cash or product donation to an organization of their choice that meets our company mission, vision and values standards. This campaign was designed to help us continue to increase the number of lives we can touch simply by standing up and taking action.
